How We Give

Multiple Ways to Enrich

There are many ways in which we can Inspire, Enrich, and Ignite our community.

Our Community, Starts With Us

Here at New Richmond Fine Arts Council (NRFAC), we know that sometimes all it takes to INSPIRE, ENRICH, and IGNITE the world is a little support. The core of our efforts is to continue to make ARTS more accessible to the citizens of New Richmond.

Fieldtrips

Giving a deeper understanding.

“It is so great for me to see the students stretch themselves and watch their reactions to being in a theater like the Ordway, sitting in a box seat. It was a very special experience and one that I believe changes them and shows them another side of life that they can continue to enjoy as they move forward. Furthermore, it does so much to bond us together through shared experiences in the arts. The students are still talking about the day and all the laughs they had during the show. Thanks NRFAC for helping me change lives and create new possibilities.”
– Scott, Alternative Learning Center teacher

Funding has been provided annually for New Richmond 4th graders to visit the Minneapolis Institute of Arts and Orchestra Hall, and for 5th graders to visit the Children’s Theatre Company. Funding has also been provided for New Richmond Middle School band students to visit Madison for the UW-Varsity Band Concert.

Scholarships

Motivating Future Artists

“Camp is like a big family that you only get to see once a year and they motivate you to try new things. Since first attending this camp 2 years ago, I can tell you that I am not the same person that I was. For one, each year my style has grown and changed. Last year, I focused on charcoal and some watercolor art. Secondly, I was able to grow personally. This camp has taught me to break out of my shell and open up to people. I have worked really hard to reduce my social anxiety and camp is a huge part of that. This camp is very meaningful to me! I would like to continue to build my skills as an artist and contribute to the New Richmond art community. My goal is to volunteer one day and teach smaller children the love of art.”
– RheAnna, NRFAC Shell Lake Art Camp Scholarship recipient

Funding has been provided for State Honors workshops and summer camps. Two scholarships, the Joan Tubbs and The Glenn Highum Choral Scholarship, are awarded in special recognition of past board members.

Community Groups

Providing Experiences

“Thank you for the generous donation to the annual New Richmond Community Chorus. It is only possible because of the continued support of NRFAC. The funds purchase new songs for the chorus to be sung at the community concert. I know the chorus will enjoy them and on behalf of all the singers, I thank you.”
– Bill, Music Director

Funding has been provided for the New Richmond Community Chorus and the St. Croix Valley Music Teachers Association Monster Concerts.

Workshops

Inspiration for Mastery

NRFAC gives opportunities for mastery to those unable to know they have it in them.

“The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul.”
– Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Funding has been provided annually for the New Richmond Community Chorus and for the Kids from Wisconsin Realize Your Dreams workshop.
